Northland’s Living Village & Cultural Experience
Ngāti Rēhia invite you to Te Ahurea, a unique Māori cultural and historical experience that will take you on an ancient, contemporary and futuristic journey through time.
TE PĀ KĀINGA
The Living Village
Te Ahurea sits in one of the most significantly important historical sites in New Zealand for Māori and early European settlement.
Situated in the picturesque Kerikeri basin alongside historic Kororipo Pā (Hongi Hika’s fortified enclosure) the Kerikeri Stone Store, and Mission House, Te Ahurea is an interactive pā site that will transport you back in time.
TE AHUREA – OUR STORY
Te Ahurea invites you to meander around the village, wander through our native bush, experience the serenity of our gardens, enjoy the sounds of our native birds, listen to the tranquil waters of Te Awa o Ngā Rangatira (the river of Chiefs), and enjoy the picturesque surroundings of Kororipo Heritage Park.
FRIENDS OF TE AHUREA
Your Friends of Te Ahurea membership will contribute toward the ongoing development and expansion of the Te Ahurea cultural and historical experience.
